Arkansas licensees must obtain seven hours (7) of continuing education annually to renew an active real estate license for the upcoming calendar year. NOTE: Renewal for the upcoming year must be completed by September 30th of the current year to avoid penalty. After, September 30th, renewal can be completed with a penalty assessed. If an active license is not renewed for the upcoming calendar year prior to December 31st  of the current year, the license will automatically become expired on January 1st.

Broker Post-License Education  (Nov. 18-20)

A new broker must complete the 30 classroom hour AREC post-licensure course within 6 months after the date the individual was initially licensed. Newly licensed brokers requesting status as an Executive or Principal Broker must satisfy the post-licensure requirement before such status is granted.

Getting Your License (3 weekend sessions) Dec. 7

In order to become a real estate agent in Arkansas, you must successfully complete (60) classroom hours of real estate education of which (30) classroom hours must be in the basic principles of real estate, from an accredited post secondary school or an organization licensed by AREC.

This course meets for three weekends, 8:30 am - 6:30 pm:

  • Dec. 7, 8
  • Dec. 14, 15
  • Dec. 21, 22

Course includes textbook, printed materials, and the attendee can revisit any future "Get Your License" course at Vivid for up to 10 hours for review, providing there are class seats available.
