The AREC post-license requirement for a new salesperson is 18 classroom hours and must be taken within 6 months after the date the individual was initially licensed. The Salesperson Post License 18 classroom hours consist of the following three 6-hour modules - Agency & Disclosure, Contracts, Contracts to Close.

Starting a Real Estate Company

Opening a real estate office has many moving parts – more than is possible to cover in a one-day course. This course provides a foundational blueprint of all the elements involved in opening, managing and growing a real estate company.

To earn the CRB designation, REALTORS® must complete a few basic requirements: 
1. Member in good standing of the National Association of REALTORS®
2. Complete 4 one-day CRB certification courses 
3. Annual renewal of your CRB designation is required, but upon designation, your first 12-months of CRB membership with the (Real Estate Business Institute - REBI) is complimentary.

This session will consist of the following:

  • Compliance When Using AI Tools, Applying Arkansas Real Estate Regulations & Licensing Law when using AI: (6 credit hrs.) This comprehensive course explores how artificial intelligence (AI) can be used in real estate while ensuring regulatory compliance and ethical best practices. Over six modules, participants will learn about current AI tools, their applications in real estate, and the legal responsibilities that Arkansas licensees must uphold when leveraging these technologies. Hands-on activities, case studies, and Arkansas-specific regulatory references are incorporated to reinforce learning. By the end of the course, agents and brokers will be equipped to responsibly integrate AI into their practice in ways that enhance efficiency without violating Arkansas Real Estate Commission (AREC) rules or state/federal laws.
  • Real Estate Safety: (1 credit hr.)

Licensees must obtain seven hours (7) of continuing education annually to renew an active real estate license for the upcoming calendar year. For Licensees obtaining a license in the current year, satisfaction of your continuing education requirement will be required upon your second active license renewal after you are licensed. 

NOTE: Renewal for the upcoming year must be completed by September 30th of the current year to avoid penalty. After, September 30th, renewal can be completed with a penalty assessed. If an active license is not renewed for the upcoming calendar year prior to December 31st of the current year, the license will automatically become expired on January 1st.
